My grandmother lives in 29 Palms, so I've been visiting Joshua Tree multiple times a year ever since it became a National Park in 1994, and probably some times before that when it was still just a National Monument. I have photos of me as a toddler walking alongside a Joshua Tree. As I grew older, these trees would become a constant in my life with each returning trip, and remain so today. I also started taking photos somewhere along the way, capturing my perspective of this part of the California desert that has truly become my second home. With these images, I hope to convey some of the magic I feel each time I come to Joshua Tree.
